CF Pachuca launch limited edition 130th anniversary jersey
Charly have issued a special edition jersey to celebrate 130 years of the historic Club Pachuca with ‘Los Tuzos’ reigning Apertura champions in Mexico
Founded on 1 November 1892, Club de Fútbol Pachuca are one of the oldest football clubs in the Americas, and were one of the founding members of the Mexican Primera División.
The club was founded by Cornish miners from Camborne and Redruth and since getting promotion to the top flight in 1998, have become one of the most successful Mexican sides in recent history winning seven national championships, five CONCACAF Champions’ Cups, the 2007 SuperLiga, and the Copa Sudamericana.
To celebrate their 130th anniversary, the club have teamed up with their official kit supplier Charly Fútbol in launching a limited edition commemorative shirt to celebrate the occasion. The special edition long sleeve jersey comes in a special presentation box and the retail version is unique in bearing no sponsorship with many Mexican league shirts traditionally boasting a host of sponsors names on front, back and sides of the jerseys.
Fans of ‘Los Tuzos’ in the US can get their hands on the shirt via the Charly website with most sizes still available.
The shirt made its on field debut on Thursday night as Pachuca were rocked by a late Eddie Hernandez goal from the spot for Honduran outfit Motagua which saw the Liga MX Apertura champions eliminated from the Concacaf Champions League at the Round of 16 stage via the away goals rule.
