Joan Laporta once again used Barcelona’s official channels to ask the fans for help before El Clásico this Sunday (12p.m. PT / 3p.m. ET) and to look for an external enemy in the Negreira Case. “Culés, this Sunday we have a great game and I ask that you come to cheer on the team more than ever, because we have a great opportunity to win the league”, he began.

Laporta’s message to the Barça fans

And then he repeated the same cryptic message that we have heard continuously over recent days: “The campaign through which are suffering is not by chance, and you all know it. Its objective, in the short term, is to destabilise the team, and in the medium term, to control Barça, to keep it. I will have time to explain who, why and how they want to orchestrate this campaign. I have no doubt that we will defend ourselves. And we will not only defend ourselves, we will attack.”

“Now we must be focused on encouraging the team this Sunday because, as I told you, their first objective is to destabilise us. We must focus on encouraging our players and coaches so that they win the game. We have to be focused on other aspects that can distract our players. Let’s cheer on Barça because we love Barça”, he concluded.
