Chelsea and Inter Milan reach loan agreement for Romelu Lukaku
Lukaku re-joined Chelsea from the Serie A club for a club-record fee last summer but only managed to score eight Premier League goals in 2021-22.


Chelsea and Inter Milan have reached an agreement over a loan move for striker Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku will return to the San Siro on a season-long loan deal after a disappointing second spell at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international re-joined Chelsea from the Serie A club for a club-record fee last summer but only managed to score eight Premier League goals in 2021-22.
Inter will pay a fee of €8 million plus add-ons, while terms over his salary and performance bonuses have also been accepted.

No option to buy for Inter
Lukaku is expected to undergo his medical next week ahead of his return to the Milan-based club.
Inter will not have an option or obligation to buy Lukaku after his loan spell. Paperwork for the transfer is in the process of being finalised.
The 29-year-old has a contract with the London club until 2026.
