Chivas set to lose these three players
A trio of high profile players are set to depart the club in the coming days.

Although Gabriel Milito has yet to be officially confirmed as Chivas’ new head coach, the club’s board is already working on reinforcing the squad and making room for potential departures. Fernando “Nene” Beltrán, Víctor “Pocho” Guzmán, and Alan Mozo are three players who may be experiencing their final days with the Rebaño Sagrado.
According to sources close to the club, an agreement is already in place with León for the transfer of Nene. Thanks to a strong relationship with Grupo Pachuca, reaching a mutually beneficial deal wasn’t difficult. However, the final decision could rest with the third party in the equation: the player himself.
On Friday, May 23, Beltrán and his agent reportedly met with the Chivas board at the club’s facilities in Verde Valle. León, also known as Los Panzas Verdes, is willing to match his current salary at Guadalajara. However, the midfielder is said to be seeking a pay raise to make the move to another city, which has complicated negotiations in recent hours.

Beltrán has been informed that he is no longer part of the club’s plans. After nearly eight years since his debut, Chivas had hoped for continued development—but that expectation hasn’t been met. Now, the focus has shifted to securing a transfer. Still, the deal with León remains in limbo, hinging on the player’s response. If he chooses to stay, his chances of seeing playing time will be minimal.
Víctor “Pocho” Guzmán is another player who may soon be on his way out. He had an explosive start with Chivas, playing a pivotal role in Veljko Paunovic’s squad that came within 25 minutes of winning the title. Since then, however, his form has dipped, and he has yet to rediscover his best version.
With the board’s patience wearing thin, Pachuca has reportedly reached out to explore the possibility of bringing Pocho back—where he previously excelled. The response was positive, and a possible player swap is now in the works. Chivas is interested in left back Bryan González of the Tuzos, as a replacement for Mateo Chávez, who was recently sold to AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands.
Finally, Alan Mozo is also on the club’s list of potential departures. In recent months, he’s been involved in several off-field incidents that haven’t sat well with the board. As a result, they’ve decided to entertain offers for the right back.

A replacement is already lined up: Chivas is reportedly close to signing Richard Ledezma, who is expected to arrive on a free transfer from PSV Eindhoven.
