Update:

Matchday seven of the Clausura 2026 tournament concluded Sunday night in Liga MX, highlighted by Chivas de Guadalajara’s first loss of the campaign. Gabriel Milito’s side fell on the road to Cruz Azul’s La Máquina, yet they remain at the top of the overall standings despite the setback.

The round was not completed as scheduled. Due to episodes of violence and measures adopted in various parts of the country, Liga MX decided to reschedule the game between Querétaro’s Gallos Blancos and the Bravos of Juárez. The league has yet to announce a new date for the fixture.

Standings after matchday 7

Pumas UNAM continue to lead the way offensively, with 14 goals so far – an average of two per game. On the opposite end, the reigning two-time champions, Toluca’s Diablos Rojos, boast the league’s strongest defense, having allowed just two goals in the tournament.

Santos Laguna’s struggles continued with another defeat. The Guerreros remain the worst team in the competition, with only one point collected and the poorest defensive record – 21 goals conceded, an alarming average of three per game.
