Club América dealt another injury blow

Club América’s injury list continues to grow. On Monday, the team confirmed that forward Isaías Violante has suffered a right hamstring strain. His recovery timeline will depend on how the injury progresses. Violante went down in the 87th minute of Saturday’s friendly against Chivas Guadalajara, clutching his thigh - a clear sign something was wrong.

Violante joins Alejandro Zendejas as the latest additions to América’s injury report. Other sidelined players include José “La Pantera” Zúñiga, Sebastián Cáceres, Dagoberto Espinoza, Álvaro Fidalgo, Allan Saint-Maximin, Henry Martín and Jonathan dos Santos. However, the club is optimistic that Fidalgo, Saint-Maximin, Martín and Dos Santos will be fit in time for Saturday’s clash against Cruz Azul.
