Colombia vs Portugal live online: updates, score, goals and highlights | 2026 World Cup Group K
Two of the top teams in the tournament meet for a battle for first place in Group K. Its Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal against Luis Diaz and Colombia.

Show key events only
Luis Diaz has done nothing in this first 45 minutes. He is the guy who needs to be involved for Colombia and so far it's Cancelo locking him down.
Arias in the near corner and he sent it to the top of the box for James who took a touch too many before putting a half hearted shot into the boot of a defender.
Much better from Portugal in the final few minutes. They have the wind in their sails, but can they keep it for the rest of the half and heading into the second half. It's been back and forth so far with each team enjoying spells of creative, attacking play.
Long throw in from Mendes to Felix on the end line and he chested it into the middle of the box before volleying it on goal but flashed it just over the bar.
Portugal continuing to press and Neves took a shot on from outside the area but that shot went just wide of the target. On second look that might have been deflected by Sanchez but a goal kick was called.
Cancelo puts a ball in from nearly the corner and Bruno Fernandes had a time to take a touch and tee up a shot but it was blocked by Vargas!!!
Portugal knocking it around the Colombia area and Cancelo's cross to the back post was dangerous but no one was making a run to get on the end of that ball from the far side.
James to Arias on the right side and that ball into the middle was directed right at the Portugal keeper. That's a couple times now that Colombia have had it in a dangerous spot but haven't been able to do much with it.
Not a whole lot happening since the hydration break for either side. Ten minutes to go in the half, lets see if things pick up a bit. Colombia have been the better side so far.
Colombia with a good bit of build up that finds Arias pushed up from the right back spot and his ball was behind Cordoba in the 6 yard box.
Dias comes right through the back of James on a header in the midfield and that will be a foul and nothing else on the Man City man.
Ronaldo gets in behind the back four but he couldn't hold his run and the flag goes up.
We are back in play from Miami and James earns a corner kick after a little battle on the end line with Veiga.
Ruben Neves was in the right place at the right time after Arias got space for the shot following the touch from James. Arias might feel like he should have one or two by now.
Arias got the first chance of the match and it was a great save from Costa to keep the score at 0-0 early in this match.
WE ARE AT THE FIRST HYDRATION BREAK OF THE NIGHT FROM MIAMI, AND WE CAN SAY ON A HOT AND HUMID NIGHT THAT THIS ONE IS NEEDED.
Ronaldo got the shot through the wall but it hopped off the turf right behind the wall and Vargas scoops that up easily.
Ronaldo tripped up in the midfield and he might have a go from this distance.
Lerma to James, and he slipped it over to Arias who had space to take the shot and he beat Costa but Neves was there on the back post to clear it off the line.
1/2 from Fernandes and Felix but a heavy touch by Felix sees that ball run into the hands of Vargas who was off his line quickly.
Colombia look the more physical and the more eager to win those 50/50 balls in the first 20 minutes.
Six shots for Colombia already, but just one on goal. Two shots for Portugal, none on target so far.
Vitinha with a quick ball that was flicked on by Ronaldo but Neto couldn't get there and that set off a counter for Colombia which landed at the feet of Cordoba who really tested Costa who needed a strong hand to make that low driven shot on frame.
Puerta hoping to make something out of nothing with a couple dribbles in the box before letting a shot loose but Veiga was closing down and that effort got away from the Colombia midfielder.
Colombia look the more willing to keep the ball in their possession and knock the ball around a bit.
Fernandes from long distances with a rush of blood to his head and that ambitious shot sails well wide of the target.
Remember that there is another game going on between Congo and Uzbekistan and it's the Uzbeks who have gone up early in that match.
Cordoba slips it off to James at the left side of the area and he lets loose from outside the box but slapped that across the face of goal and wide.
Felix looking for Neto on the back post but that cross was a couple of inches over the head of the number 10.
These are two very attacking minded sides, but don't be surprised if this turns out to be a tense, defensive 90 minutes in a crucial match with heavy implications in the knockout rounds.
So many yellow jerseys around the stadium here in Miami. This is almost a home game for the Colombians.
Bruno Fernandes takes it short to Mendes and that was shut down quickly by Arias.
Mendes taken down by Arias on the left side and that will set Portugal up with a free kick by the near touchline.
Early start that will wake Portugal up. They have come out quick in both games, but this is a totally different beast they are playing in Colombia.
Diaz creating some trouble in the first minute. It was a long ball from Vargas from the back and he tucked inside before his shot got deflected. It found the head of Cordoba who nodded it towards frame but it just skimmed over the top of the crossbar.
WE ARE UNDERWAY FROM MIAMI STADIUM!!!
Colombia's 4-3-3
It's Vargas in goal for Colombia. Arias, Sanchez, Lucumi and Machado in the back. Puerta, Lerma and Arias in the middle with Rodriguez, Cordoba and Diaz up top.
Portugal's 4-2-3-1
It's Costa in goal with Cancelo, Dias, Veiga and Mendes in the back. Vitinha and Neves in the middle with Felix, Fernandes and Neto just behind Ronaldo.
The players are coming out of the tunnel and the anthems are being cued up here at the Miami Stadium.
It is a very pro Colombia fan base here from Miami. The traveling fans in yellow have no love lost for Ronaldo with so much of the Miami population made up of Latinos, many of them from Colombia.
Early results
England are moving on to the round of 32 as winners of their group after beating Panama 2-0 with two second half goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane. On the other side of the group Croatia beat Ghana 2-1 to take the second spot, but Ghana look to be assured of a place in the round of 32.
What's coming?
We have just one more group to wrap up after these two games in Group K are finished. Argentina play Jordan having already wrapped up that group, and Algeria play Austria for the second spot in that group with the winner set to play Spain, and the 3rd placed finisher likely to get a much easier draw. FIFA will be hoping that they don’t get a repeat of the Disgrace in Gijon.
Silva signaled out?
Bernardo Silva is one of the stars of the show for Portugal and has been the heart and soul of Premier League power house Man City for years. He's now on his way to Real Madrid this summer, but before that he has a World Cup to try to win. He was kind of singled out by his coach after the Congo draw. He was one of the only ones to be swapped in the starting XI, and Portugal went on to win 5-0 over Uzbekistan. How much of an impact will he have for the rest of the tournament remains to be seen?
Schedule for rest of tournament
The appetizer is almost done. While the group stages are fun, and a little overwhelming in this first World Cup with 48 teams, the meat and potatoes of this tournament is coming. The Round of 32 starts tomorrow and ends on the 3rd of July. We roll right into the round of 16 the next day as the we will be celebrating the 4th of July with two games a day until the 7th of July. The 8th of July will be the first day without soccer since Mexico and South Africa kicked off this tournament on June 11th. The quarters start on July 9th
Next round starts in a matter of hours
Sad that the round of 32 is coming to an end? Don't worry. You don’t have to wait long for the next phase of the tournament. The round of 32 starts tomorrow with Canada and South Africa kicking off the knockout rounds. That will be the only game of the day, but then we have a feast of win or go home matches in the five following days. Sixteen matches will be played from Sunday to Friday, so strap in. There is no rest for the weary.

FIFA Rankings
For the first time all tournament the ever changing FIFA Rankings have bumped Argentina out of the top spot. France´s win over Norway was convincing enough for FIFA to crown them as the top ranked team in the world. Argentina are second, and Spain are third with England and Brazil rounding out the top five. Portugal have dropped a few spots since the start of the tournament and now sit 8th with Colombia at 11th after two wins to start their World Cup campaign.
Golden Boot chase
Cristiano threw himself in to the mix of the Golden Boot with his brace in the second match against Uzbekistan, but he is well off pace of his eternal Lionel Messi who had five goals in two games. Both of them are set to play today, with Messi being held on the bench at least for the first half of Argentina´s match against Jordan. Here is how the Golden Boot is shaping up.
Messi, 5 goals, 0 assists
Mbappe, 4 goals, 2 assists
Dembele, 4 goals, 1 assist
Vinicius, 4 goals, 1 assist
Erling Haaland, 4 goals, 0 assists
A look back at the group stages
This is the last day of group stages and what a wild few weeks it has been. It all started on June 11th with Mexico and South Africa kicking off the tournament. There were opening ceremonies, and concerts and festivals and fans from all over the world becoming friends. We had nail biters. We had blow outs. We had hat tricks, and stars being stars. Messi leads the Golden Boot race. The USA had a couple of brilliant performances, and the minnows from Cabo Verde advancing. It´s been a wild ride, and we have a handful of matches still to come before thinking about the the knockout rounds.
The other match in the group
While this is the match up that everyone is wanting to see, there is still plenty up for grabs for the Congo in the other match. They need a win over Uzbekistan to keep their World Cup dream alive. The Uzbeks have nothing to play for but they will be hoping to bid their first World Cup farewell with a historic win for their federation.
Colombia XI
We have the Colombia XI ready for coach Lorenzo. They are undefeated in this tournament but this will be their first real test. Just how ready is this XI to compete with the big boys? That is the question.
Portugal XI
Roberto Martinez has released his XI for this massive match, and there may be a surprise or two in the XI. Joao Felix in for Bernardo Silva again, and Ruben Dias in at the back for the Portugese side.
Star watch: Colombia
Colombia seem to breed World Cup stars. We all remember what James Rodriguez did a few World Cups ago, but this summer it's all about Daniel Munoz. The Crystal Palace defender has two goals in two matches, and is making a splash not just in this tournament but in transfer market. He already won the Conference League with CP, and now he’s got his sights set on the World Cup with Colombia.
Star watch: Portugal
We all know that Cristiano is the generational star on this side, but it's time to give it up to Nuno Mendes. He scored his first World Cup goal with a silky free kick to double the advantage over on Uzbekistan, but it wasn’t just the goal. The PSG defender is quickly being thrust into the conversation as the best left back in the world and he has been showing it on the biggest stage.
Eliminated teams
As we approach the end of the group stages we see more and more teams getting eliminated from round of 32 contention. This is how the list stands after the the end of the early games.
Haiti
Turkey
Tunisia
Jordan
Panama
Qatar
Czechia
Curaçao
Saudi Arabia
Uruguay
Iraq
Group K standings
Taking a look at the group coming into the final day of the group stages, we see Colombia on top of the table with six points. A win or draw will keep them in first place in Group K while Portugal will be trying to leapfrog them with a win tonight in Miami. Uzbekistan has been eliminated and but will be hoping to win their first World Cup game, and spoil Congo´s chances of getting into the round of 32 with a win which would give them four points, and almost certainly secure them a spot in the next round.
Last game: Colombia
It was another rough and rugged game from the DR Congo as they took Colombia to the very end and showed they can compete with the top teams in this tournament. Congo´s keeper put on a great show in the first half coming up with some incredible saves, but in the 76th minute in was Daniel Munoz who scored the only goal to put Colombia on top in the match and on top in the group with a second straight win.
Last game: Portugal
After a dormant start to their World Cup campaign saw Portugal draw with DR Congo. Portugal was put under fire in the days between their first and second match and Roberto Martinez's men came out firing from the start against Uzbekistan. Cristiano Ronaldo led the way, letting everyone know “he’s back” with a first half brace in what turned out to be a 5-0 drubbing of Uzbekistan.
