CONCACAF confirm 2022 Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year Awards nominees

Concacaf has announced the nominees for the Confederation’s awards with two individual player categories: Concacaf Men’s Player of the Year and Concacaf Women’s Player of the Year.

Concacaf has revealed the nominees and launched fan voting for the Confederation’s awards program focusing exclusively on two player categories: Concacaf Men’s Player of the Year and Concacaf Women’s Player of the Year.

Following the nomination process, Concacaf are keen to let fans play a role in selecting the winners with players, coaches, and selected media members all entitled to vote for the winners.

Fans can vote via the Concacaf voting portal with voting closing on 13 April.

The nominees for the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Player of the Year are:

  • Tyler Adams (USA) | Leeds United (ENG) - transferred from RB Leipzig (GER)
  • Andre Blake (JAM) | Philadelphia Union (USA)
  • Jonathan David (CAN) | LOSC Lille (FRA)
  • Alphonso Davies (CAN) | FC Bayern Munich (GER)
  • Guillermo Ochoa (MEX) | US Salernitana 1919 (ITA) - transferred from Club America (MEX)
  • Christian Pulisic (USA) | Chelsea FC (ENG)

  • Alicia Cervantes (MEX) | CD Guadalajara (MEX)
  • Melchie Dumornay (HAI) | Olympique Lyonnais (FRA) - transferred from Stade de Reims (FRA)
  • Jessie Fleming (CAN) | Chelsea FC (ENG)
  • Alex Morgan (USA) | San Diego Wave FC (USA)
  • Khadija Shaw (JAM) | Manchester City FC (ENG)
  • Sophia Smith (USA) | Portland Thorns FC (USA)
