Copa Libertadores Draw: Time, format and teams | How to follow online
The tournament draw will take place in Luque, Paraguay and the eight groups will be formed with four teams in each one.
South America’s best 32 teams will participate in this year’s competition and all eyes are on the draw which will take place on Monday, March 27 at 8 p.m. ET. The format is a group round in which each squad plays the others in its group and the top two teams will move on to the quarterfinals, then semifinals and finally the final game to be played in the mythic stadium of Maracaná in Brazil.

Group stage: draw and composition of the groups
The 32 qualified teams (28 that entered directly, plus the four from the Preliminary Phase) will be divided into eight groups of four clubs each.
As established in the competition regulations, published on the CONMEBOL website, the composition is established according to the champions of the Copa Libertadores 2022, Copa Sudamericana 2022 and the CONMEBOL ranking as of Dec. 9, 2022.
Note: In the event that the 2022 CONMEBOL South American Champion —due to its location in the CONMEBOL Club ranking as of Dec. 9, 2022— should be seeded, said position and privilege granted by ranking will prevail due to its condition CONMEBOL Sudamericana champion, ranking within the first line clubs.
