Cristian Tello has been looking for a club since Real Betis didn’t renew his contract and he has decided to continue his career with Los Angeles Football Club. The one-time Spanish international is expected to arrive next week and signed a three-year deal with the Major League Soccer side.

The 31-year-old arrives as a free agent and he will play in the remainder of the 2022 MLS campaign with LAFC. There are only eight games left of the regular season and the Spanish winger could be available to play against Houston Dynamo on 31 August after receiving his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate.

Brian Rodríguez future up in the air

With the arrival of Cristian Tello it is expected that the Los Angeles FC are looking to transfer Brian Rodríguez to the Liga MX side Club América before the summer transfer window closes. The Uruguay international didn’t play on Saturday in the Los Angeles FC 2-1 defeat to San Jose Earthquakes and he has seen less activity since the signing of Gareth Bale last month.

It has been reported that LAFC’s coach Steve Cherundolo doesn’t want Rodríguez to leave but the offer from América is too good to decline and he is no longer happy with his role in the team so far this season. The Liga MX side has made an offer of six million dollars to the Black & Gold and a deal could be reached in the next few days
