Cristiano Ronaldo secures another incredible record
The Portuguese star continues to bang in the goals that bring him closer to a thousand, and in doing so reaches a new record with Al Nassr.
Cristiano Ronaldo continues to show his remarkable form on the field, and at 39 years old, his goal-scoring instinct remains as sharp as ever. The man branded CR7 is still unbeaten with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, closely trailing Al Hilal in the standings.
Cristiano hits 70 for four
In his latest performance, Ronaldo netted a penalty in Al Nassr’s 2-0 victory over Al-Wahda, reaching a new personal milestone. The Portuguese star has now scored 70 or more goals for four different teams, further cementing his legacy as one of the game’s greatest goal scorers, some would go so far as to say the GOAT of that particular attribute.
The four clubs in question here are Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juventus, and Al Nassr. His most prolific stint was in Madrid, where he netted 450 goals, becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer. With Juventus, he scored 101 goals, and with Manchester United, he tallied 145.
Since joining Al Nassr in December 2022, Ronaldo has impressively reached 70 goals in just 77 matches in the Saudi Pro League. In his last nine games, across all competitions, Cristiano has found the back of the net eight times, proving his enduring goal-scoring prowess, albeit not a league at the top table of the Beautiful Game.
Cristiano, turning goals into titles
Although titles have eluded Ronaldo during his time in Saudi Arabian football so far, this season has started with great optimism, and his individual performances could be key to changing that. Since the beginning of the current tournament, Ronaldo has only failed to score in one match, which was in the third-round clash against Al-Ahli SFC. His strong start and consistent form could play a pivotal role in helping Al Nassr contend for silverware this season.
