Sources very close to the capital club have told AS Mexico that negotiations are already at an advanced stage with the Mexican striker, who already has the green light to leave his current team, Rayados.

“He already has the permission to negotiate. Rayados have already given the green light. The representative is only looking at the contractual issue, and closing that will be on this side,” said the source. Rayados club president, Jose Antonio Noriega, reported that the situation with “Ponchito” is open for negotiation, as long as the offer presented favors the three parties (clubs and player).
The Atlas youth product has a contract until December 2025, meaning the Cementero team will have to pay for his services. González arrived at Monterrey for the Apertura 2016, scoring 32 goals in 227 games, and also won one league title and two MX Cups.
