David Beckham has become another of the protagonists of Qatar’s latest moment in the sporting spotlight as the 2022 World Cup landed on its shores. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, among others, went to Doha without his wife Victoria and their children to see this great tournament, as well as for some business, and for this he has spared no expense in surrounding himself with Qatari luxuriousness.

As published by the British newspaper MailOnline, Beckham spent almost a week at the five-star Mandarin Oriental hotel in Doha, located in the exclusive Mesheirb district. It’s a hotel, as you’d expect, that has all kinds of prime comforts, and the fact is that the Englishman also stayed in one of the largest suites, the elegant Baraha View suite, which has its own dining area, a private concierge, an outdoor patio, a swimming pool and a gym.

The room located on the top floor costs $23,000 a night and from which the former soccer player has already left this weekend after word of where he was staying spread among his fans.

“The staff loved having him here and referred to him as ‘Sir David’ because he was so respectful and respected by all. The other guests didn’t see him much because he had a lovely suite that’s like a hotel within a hotel, which means he didn’t need to mingle with them,” a source stated.

Becks was able to enter and leave the hotel without being seen, doing so through a private exit in the lobby, where he would then jump into a limousine with dark windows so as not to be detected.

Beckham’s personal chef

In addition, the source said that the former England hero had a personal chef who prepared him special meals that were not on the hotel menu. This included meals such as rare Japanese Kobe steak and a variety of pasta dishes.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t eat his supposed favorite food of gammon and chips, because pork is prohibited in the country. We’re pretty sure he coped, though.
