Dominican Republic vs Italy: times, how to watch on TV, stream online | U20 World Cup
The European’s go into this final group game at the Estadio Malvinas as hot favourites but when pride is at stake, nothing is guaranteed.
Italy’s impressive 3-2 win over Brazil in the World Cup U20 opener had put the European’s in a strong position but in Game 2 were undone 0-2 by Nigeria. Now they turn their sights on the Dominican Republic in what looks like a formality.
As for the Dominican Republic, it wasn’t the start they wanted, succumbing to a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria, despite taking the lead in the 23rd minute with a goal from the spot by Edison Azcona. Against Brazil in their second game it only got worse, as they were demolished 0-6, making it impossible for them to qualify for the next stage of the tournament. Pride, though, will see them look to impress against the Italians.
