Endrick, aiming to shine in the Pre-Olympic tournament, catapulted Brazil to a fantastic start in their opening match against Bolivia. The young striker, set to join Real Madrid in the summer, showcased his remarkable talent by securing three crucial points for his team with an early goal.

In just four minutes, the 17-year-old dynamo left a huge mark on the game. A perfectly timed pass from Kennedy saw Endrick kick into fifth gear, showing his incredible speed and precise finishing that resulted in a goal to put his side ahead. The advantage then allowed Brazil to adopt a more measured approach to the game, choosing not to press despite the minute on the clock. Instead, they patiently awaited opportunities for direct counter attacks, capitalising on the lightning-fast pace of their forward players.

Endrick sees second goal ruled out

While Bolivia attempted to maintain control of the game with prolonged periods of possession, they struggled to get through Brazil’s tough defence. The most promising chances came from Villamil, who had previously scored a sensational goal against Venezuela. However, Endrick remained a constant threat, repeatedly testing the opposing goalkeeper with persistent attempts on goal. In one of the more clear-cut changes, he outpaced his markers and forced a foul on the edge of the area, showcasing his relentless determination and skill. As the Canarinha embarked on their journey to secure a ticket to Paris 2024, Endrick’s impactful performance set a promising tone for their campaign.

The flow of the game remained largely unchanged in the second half. Although Bolivia lost some intensity, Brazil also failed to assert their superiority. Despite Endrick having a goal disallowed for offside and Marquinhos striking the woodwork, the Seleção couldn’t assert a clear dominance over their opponent who held them back well and kept chances at a premium.

Brazil to face Colombia in next game

The need for improvement is evident, and manager Menezes faces the task of crafting a more cohesive unit. Connecting the midfield, increasing the number of players in the box and getting the best out of players like Andrey Santos are essential components. As well as this, a more consistent involvement of the full-backs can contribute to the team’s overall performance.

Looking ahead, Brazil are now turning their attention to the upcoming match against Colombia, anticipating a more challenging game. Meanwhile, Bolivia find themselves with no room for error in the upcoming clash against Ecuador, a critical game in their campaign.
