The Premier League returns in just over a month and clubs are busy preparing their squads for the new season.

Many Fantasy Premier League managers are currently on their summer holidays but will be thinking about how their own team could look heading into 2022-23.

In the 2021-22 edition, players often struggled to find a consistent number nine but the addition of Erling Haaland and Darwin Núñez to England’s top flight will offer more options over the coming weeks.

New Manchester City forward Haaland will cost Fantasy Premier League managers £11.5m, after a selection of prices were released before the start of the season on 5 August.

The Norwegian officially joined the Club on Friday 1 July, signing a deal at the Etihad Stadium until 2027.

The 21-year-old joins City having notched 86 goals in just 89 games for previous club Borussia Dortmund.

De Bruyne the most expensive

Joao Cancelo is valued at £7.0m, the same as Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva, after an excellent campaign last season.

Defenders Kyle Walker and Ruben Dias will cost £5.0m and £6.0m respectively, while Ilkay Gundogan will set players back £7.5m.

City’s Phil Foden has been handed an £8.0m price tag alongside Algeria international Riyad Mahrez.

Raheem Sterling, linked with a move to Chelsea, costs £10.0m, making him City’s third-most expensive player.

Arsenal prices

Arsenal midfielder Bukayo Saka is their most expensive player, priced at £8m. The club’s new number 14, Eddie Nketiah, will set you back £7m.

Norwegian playmaker Martin Odegaard is priced at £6.5m, while Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and new club signing Fabio Vieira are all priced at £6m.

Left-back Kieran Tierney and centre-back Gabriel will cost £5m. Arsenal number one, Aaron Ramsdale, will also cost £5m.
