Sevilla are the fourth most popular side for television audiences but this data is a little skewed as the Andalusian team are the most featured team on Gol Play, the channel with rights to broadcast one LaLiga game a week as free-to-air.

It may be surprising to see the likes of Rayo, Celta and Las Palmas top traditionally ‘big’ clubs in Spain such as Athletic Club, Real Betis or Valencia.

Sevilla, Celta, Las Palmas and Alaves have been the most aired sides on Gol Play hence their inflated ranking.

LaLiga rights for Spain

LaLiga games are broadcast in Spain with Movistar Plus and DAZN sharing out matches on a weekly basis with one allocated game going to Gol Play.

Movistar Plus are reported to have 3.7 million overall subscribers to the general platform but there are no statistics to reflect what percentage of this figure subscribe to the LaLiga package.
