Another FC Barcelona pre-season friendly game confirmed
The Catalan giants return from holiday next Monday and have just confirmed a three-team tournament with Udinese and Nottingham Forest on August 8.
Reigning LaLiga champions FC Barcelona are back to work next Monday (July 13) in a return that will be dominated by medical tests after a few weeks of vacation. Once completed, the players—mostly from the reserve side given that because of the key members of the squad participating at the 2026 World Cup—will begin training at the Ciutat Esportiva in Sant Joan Despí.
The first preseason friendly is set for July 24 at the Joan Gamper training facility, with local side CE Europa as the opponent in a closed-door match. Three days later, the blaugrana will travel to England for a stay at St George’s Park until July 3. Hansi Flick’s men will play its second friendly against Birmingham City on July 31 at St. Andrew’s Stadium.
Barcelona are still negotiating additional matches during their stay in England, with Watford or Stoke City the most likely opponents. In addition, according to Esport3, the Catalan giants have reached an agreement to play a three-team tournament with Serie A’s Udinese and Premier League side Nottingham Forest. The three-team event will be held in Udine on August 8.
