FC Bayern Munich’s squad is 40 times more valuable than DC United’s

The Bundesliga giants will continue their preseason in the United States and they will face the Major League Soccer side at Audi Field.

Wayne Rooney is expected to make his debut as coach of D.C. United on Wednesday night against FC Bayern Munich at Audi Field. The former Manchester United legend was recently appointed as the manager after the capital city side lost 2-0 against Minnesota on 16 July and more changes are expected to come during the summer transfer window.

D.C. United will take a break from the regular season to face FC Bayern Munich and it is expected that Wayne Rooney tries a new system in this fixture. The MLS side is expected to switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation from now on and the Englishman will put it to a test on Wednesday night at Audi Field.

The difference in value between both franchises

Bayern Munich have been very active during the current transfer window and recently they received a total of €45 million, plus €5 million in variables, for Robert Lewandowski, who joined FC Barcelona late-last week. On the other hand, the Bundesliga side have signed players like Matthijs de Ligt, Sadio Mané and Ryan Gravenberch, among others.

Bayern Munich is always a top contender to win the UEFA Champions League and they have the best players in the world. According to Transfermarkt, the Bundesliga said’s total market value is $963 million and DC United’s total roster is valued at $24 million. The highest paid player in the capital city side is Taxiarchis Fountas, who is a designated player, and his current market value is $3.3 million.
