Arda Güler’s time has finally come. The Turkish player will make his debut for Real Madrid in the club’s Copa del Rey tie with Arandina on Saturday. Six months have passed since his presentation as a Real Madrid player and he will finally play with the club for the first time after injuries kept him sidelined.

Güler is not the only one wearing the famous white shirt for Real Madrid for the first time as Álvaro Carrillo and Vinicius Tobias will also make their debuts in Aranda. The Brazilian full-back played a few minutes against América on the 2022 pre-season tour and the injury to Lucas Vázquez means that he will make his debut today. Midfielder Nico Paz is also in the starting line-up for what will be his eighth game with the first team.

Real Madrid changes

From the eleven that beat Mallorca on Wednesday, only Fran García remains in the starting eleven. Kepa will be in goal and in defence, Nacho is back, having missed out on the La Liga match in midweek due to suspension. The versatile defender will have Carrillo alongside him, as the youngster will get his chance in the centre of defence.

In midfield, Paz completes the trio of Castilla players in the starting eleven. Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Ceballos are also part of the engine room, while Joselu and Brahim Díaz will start in attack. Carlo Ancelotti has regulars Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric, Rodrygo and Antonio Rüdiger on the bench.

Real Madrid’s starting XI vs Arandina

Ancelotti’s starting eleven against Arandina is as follows: Kepa; Vinicius Tobias, Carrillo, Nacho, Fran García; Nico Paz, Ceballos, Camavinga, Arda Güler; Joselu, Brahim.

Subs
