Inter Miami changes its MLS schedule after reaching the Leagues Cup semifinals
Inter Miami announced the rescheduling of its MLS match against the Chicago Fire due to its qualification for the final stages of the Leagues Cup.
After falling short in both the Concacaf Champions Cup and the Club World Cup—where they were eliminated by PSG—Inter Miami is now laser-focused on a new goal: winning the 2025 Leagues Cup.
With their international dreams temporarily dashed, the Herons have turned their attention to a tournament that’s well within reach.
Powered by veteran striker Luis Suárez, Miami punched their ticket to the semifinals with a dramatic 2–1 win over Tigres UANL. Suárez delivered under pressure, scoring twice from the penalty spot—including a clutch 89th-minute game-winner
More dates to be rearranged
However, qualifying for the semifinals has forced Inter Miami to once again adjust its schedule, which had already undergone changes due to their participation in the Club World Cup.
The match that Javier Mascherano’s squad had scheduled against Chicago Fire for Saturday, August 30, has been rescheduled to September 30. This change is due to their involvement in the Leagues Cup, since regardless of whether they advance to the final or play in the third-place match, Miami will be competing in one of those two games on Sunday, August 31.
Inter Miami's schedule September 2025
