James Rodríguez is not happy in Qatar and he is looking to exit Al-Rayyan SC during the summer transfer window. The Colombian international wants to return to European football and according to several reports, West Ham, Aston Villa and Atlético Madrid are keen on signing him for the 2022/23 campaign.

James could be lured by MLS

Another team that has joined the race to sign James Rodríguez is MLS side Inter Miami for the second part of the season. The owner of the team, David Beckham, has his eyes set on the Colombia international and he will try to lure him to Miami during the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Inter Miami has already established contact with the 30-year-old regarding his new contract and convincing him to play in Major League Soccer. The MLS transfer window opens on 7 July and the team owned by Beckham has a designated player spot open.

James joined the Middle East side in September and earns a reported £6.5m, but as per the report, he admitted that the MLS would be a good move for his career. The 30-year-old has made 12 appearances with Al-Rayyan with four goals and providing seven assists.

At least I’m playing. I’m doing well. I’ve already played many games. I’m happy about that because it’s been a long time since I’ve played so many games in a row. I’m scoring goals, providing assists, and that’s why I came here, to be able to play and get into a rhythm, and to see what happens next as well,” said James on Twitch.

I don’t know, you never know what will happen. Although I would like to go somewhere else. Physically I’m perfect, I’m healthy. They ask me if I would return to Europe, why not? I have the conditions for that, I’m getting into a rhythm. A good option would be the United States.”
