Jenni Hermoso formalizes complaint against Luis Rubiales
The Spain forward has formalized her complaint against Luis Rubiales for the non-consensual kiss after the World Cup final.
Spain national team player Jenni Hermoso has testified before the Attorney General’s Office and formalized her complaint against the now-suspended president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, for the kiss that he gave her at the World Cup trophy ceremony in Sydney, Australia, last month.
The Pachuca striker had already made a statement about the non-consensual kiss after the World Cup final that Spain won, stating her clear disapproval of the incident. Since the event occurred in a foreign country, it was necessary for the Madrid-born player to make a statement so that the Public Prosecutor’s Office could file the complaint.
Hermoso files complaint
On Tuesday, Hermoso filed a complaint for the facts already known. The statement took place at the State Prosecutor’s Office to protect the victim’s privacy.
