The future of Keylor Navas seems to become clearer as the days go by. The Costa Rican, without minutes in Paris since Galtier’s arrival on the PSG bench, has reportedly accepted the latest offer from Nottingham Forest, currently 13th in the Premier League, as stated by newspaper L’Équipe.

Keylor eyes Forest adventure

Negotiations between both parties are said to have progressed considerably in the last few hours and now all that remains is for PSG to give the green light for the operation to be formalized.

The Parisian team would not look badly on parting with a player who receives approximately one million euros a month. UEFA’s new Financial Fair Play, which comes into force as of next season, has conditioned their strategy, and his departure would mean a decent chunk of the salary outlay would be removed.

Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s new team, had been interested in the former Real Madrid player, but Keylor is believed to prefer continuing in Europe’s elite leagues, and the English top flight is an attractive proposition. If confirmed, Navas will leave PSG after four years in which he was the undisputed starter until Donnarumma joined in 2021. With the Italian, and after a first season in which he alternated starts under Pochettino, his importance in the team had drastically decreased.
