LIONEL MESSI

Lionel Messi’s rating sees huge hit in EA FC 25

Messi’s rating in EA FC 25 is a lot lower than in previous editions of the world’s most popular football video game.

FC 25 is coming out on September 27th (yes, those of you who buy the Ultimate Edition will be able to play before then). Now we’ve seen the Top 25 players were revealed, and the striking position of Leo Messi, one of the best footballers in history, has not gone unnoticed.

Compared to previous editions, he is relatively low on the list: a rating of 88 is the lowest he has had in the last 16 years. Of course, it’s easy for us to look at the list and have an opinion, but not everyone can boast of having had a rating of 89 or higher for so many years in a row. Below is a review of Messi’s evolution in the FIFA saga.

Messi has played for Inter Miami since leaving PSG in 2023, and has had a mixed time in the States. Inter Miami won their first ever trophy - the Leagues Cup - but the Argentine has suffered huge injury problems throughout. However, playing alongside Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba has allowed him to enjoy himself on the pitch and his talent against MLS opposition is easy to see.

His current injury has kept him out since the final of the Copa América, but it seems that the player is now in the final stages of his recovery and, if all goes to plan, he should be back in the black and pink kit soon enough.
