Liverpool forward Mo Salah could opt for move to Spain

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah wants to keep his options open this summer, according to Foot Mercato in France.

Salah’s preference, as per the report, would be LaLiga if he did end up leaving the Premier League.

Having moved to Liverpool in 2017 from Roma, the 30-year-old has gone on to win the Champions League and Premier League under Jurgen Klopp, and he could opt for one more big career move.

The Egypt international has scored 178 times for the club, becoming a Liverpool legend along the way, and in the current campaign, he has netted 22 times

Liverpool were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid at the last 16 stage on Wednesday night.

Change at Anfield

Foot Mercato report that major changes are coming at the Reds, something that will have been accelerated due to their poor performances in all competitions this season.

If Salah were to move to Spain, Real Madrid would be the only club in LaLiga capable of meeting his high salary expectations.

Salah’s contract with the Merseyside club runs until 30 June 2025.
