Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has not been called up to the latest Belgian National Team squad as he recovers from a groin injury that he suffered recently.

Belgium are set to play against the Republic of Ireland and England in the upcoming international break but now they will have to do so without their main creator.

The 32-year-old suffered a hamstring injury on the first day of the season against Burnley, which required surgery. He missed 149 days of the current campaign.

When will De Bruyne be back for Manchester City?

De Bruyne will not be available for City’s FA Cup quarter-final clash at home to Newcastle United on March 16 but all signs point to him being back for the huge Premier League clash against Arsenal on March 31, which is the first game back for the Treble winners after the international break.

Since returning from his injury, De Bruyne has scored two goals and provided seven assists for City this season as they push for yet another Premier League title.

Manchester City are currently third in the Premier League table. They sit one point behind both Arsenal and Liverpool with ten games to go in the current season.
