Manchester United and Chelsea are already thinking ahead of the start of the 2023/24 season and they have confirmed that they will both be doing part of their pre-season tour in the United States. The Premier League clubs are looking for places to train during the summer and according to multiple sources it will be somewhere near North Carolina.

Details will be confirmed in the upcoming days

The idea is to use said state as a base for their stay in the United States and from there they will move to different locations for match days in order to minimise traveling time. The opponents have yet to be confirmed for Chelsea and Manchester United for the US tour, but there are talks of clubs such as Wrexham AFC interested in playing a friendly.

Other teams that are in talks of possibly playing in the US tour as part of their pre-season are Leeds United, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion FC. The Red Devils are an established brand and one of the most popular teams around the world, but Chelsea is looking to expand their popularity by coming to the States.

The London side are also looking to use Todd Boehly’s connection to increase their commercial value in the US and play in different stadiums throughout the country. Also having Christian Pulisic could maximise their popularity, but it will be hard for Chelsea to retain the United States international for the upcoming season due to the lack of minutes, as well as the forward being linked with move to Real Madrid.
