Messi drives record prices in MLS as tickets for Real Salt Lake vs Inter Miami top $5,000

Lionel Messi’s impact goes far and wide beyond the pitch. The game in Utah is becoming the most expensive of the season in the American league with the average ticket price is around $468, while the cheapest ticket exceeds $419, a figure up to 14 times higher than other home games for the same team.

However, the phenomenon doesn’t stop there. On resale platforms, prices skyrocket even further; on Ticketmaster they range from $525 to over $2,000, while on SeatGeek they range from $403 to $5,500, depending on the location.

Even standing-room areas exceed $500 and seats near the field can reach four-figure sums, confirming that each appearance of the Argentine star becomes a high-impact economic event.

But this is no coincidence either. Messi is in fine form and coming off some decisive performances, including a recent brace that revived Inter Miami’s season. His influence is reflected not only in results, but also in packed stadiums, record-breaking audiences, and now, a completely transformed ticket market.
