Update:

In front of a VIP heavy crowd (Prince Harry, LeBron James, Owen Wilson, Selena Gomez...) at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, Inter Miami sent out a warning shot to other teams in both conferences as they recorded a 1-3 win at the home of the current MLS Cup holders LAFC. Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Lionel Messi played an influential role in the win for the Herons who are now unbeaten in eleven games.

Speaking post game, the Argentine was delighted with the win and stated that the clash against the ‘Black and Gold’ was a perfect marker to see just where Inter Miami are currently at.

“We played well at a stadium where it’s difficult to get a result and against the current (MLS) champions and this win helps us greatly for what lies ahead.

The group is getting stronger and we showed that with the Leagues Cup win and now the focus is to try and secure a finish in the top eight places. This is the way forward as we keep growing and obviously a win like tonight’s does wonders for confidence.
