‘Messimania’ returns in the United States for Inter Miami
After a global preseason tour showing off their superstar players, the Herons are back home and are already feeling the local demand for the new season.
With just a few days left before Inter Miami kicks off the regular season, Major League Soccer is once again gearing up to host ‘Messimania’. If starting from July last season, tickets for the Herons were the most sought after, both for games in Fort Lauderdale and away, and this year is no different. In statements collected by the Miami Herald, the ticket outlet StubHub confirmed that Miami tickets are once again a trending topic.
How much are Inter Miami ticket prices?
“The impact of Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami CF remains significant, with a higher global demand on StubHub. The increase in Inter Miami and league-wide sales is a testament to his legacy as a football star,” said Adam Budelli, a StubHub spokesperson. “Messi’s influence extends beyond the confines of his local stadium, driving demand on the road, from buyers worldwide, and especially from his home country, Argentina,” he concludes.
According to StubHub, people from over 40 countries have purchased tickets to see Inter Miami, regardless of whether it’s a home or away game. For the start of last season, long before his arrival, the figure drastically drops to less than a dozen fans. The most requested game on the website is the clash between LA Galaxy and Miami on 25 February at the Dignity Health Sports Park.
Inter Miami will debut on Wednesday 21 February in a new MLS season. Real Salt Lake will kick off a pivotal year for the club where striving for everything is demanded from within as much as seats are from afar. Tickets for that match range from $250 to $7,820, the highest for the first round of the MLS. The opportunity to see players like Messi or Luis Suárez before they call time on their careers has caused the ticket prices to skyrocket.
