MLS and Ticketmaster have agreed a “multi-year” deal to becoming the official ticketing partners of the league, a statement has announced. The US soccer league says that it “conducted an extensive and comprehensive evaluation process and chose Ticketmaster as the official partner based on the company’s industry-leading technology, unmatched product and collaborative capabilities” and that the deal will help in “enhancing its significant growth and momentum”.

The move allows fans to use their phone as a virtual ticket in a move that is claimed by MLS to be “a seamless process from purchase through matchday” and that 3-D virtual stadium views will be given to help fans choose the best seat for them.
