Nashville make history, and keeps ruining everyone’s bracket
Nashville has already knocked out two CONCACAF heavyweights, and its 2026 run is starting to look like something far bigger.

Nashville SC’s international run this semester is starting to feel epic, the kind of golden story that could go down in club history, after it has already sent home two teams widely viewed as favorites to win the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
The Six Strings, as the club is nicknamed, first emerged on the regional stage in 2024, when it made its Concachampions debut. But in this 2026 edition, what the yellow-clad side has achieved is beginning to take on an almost legendary feel.
How did Nashville SC eliminate two CONCACAF favorites on the road?
As head coach B.J. Callaghan said a few days ago, his team is ready to play anywhere – and so far, it has backed that up.

In the round of 16, Nashville played to a scoreless draw at Geodis Park and then earned another draw in Miami, eliminating Inter Miami, with Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and all its stars. The away-goal rule ended up sending Nashville through on that occasion.
Now, in the quarterfinals, it went into Banorte Stadium (Azteca) and, with an outstanding defensive performance, came away with a 1-0 victory, knocking out the Eagles, who had looked like the favorites in that matchup to reach the final.

Who will Nashville SC face next in the CONCACAF Champions Cup?
Nashville is now waiting to learn its next opponent, which will be decided tomorrow in the showdown between the Seattle Sounders and Tigres. For now, the club from San Nicolás de los Garza holds the edge.
Whichever team advances, it will once again be a tough challenge for the Tennessee side, but Nashville has already shown that it deserves to start being called a giant killer.
