Nashville SC vs LAFC: times, how to watch on TV & how to stream online
Gareth Bale could make his Los Angeles FC debut on Sunday, as the Black and Gold face Nashville SC on matchday 21 of the 2022 MLS regular season.
Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini could make their debuts for Los Angeles FC when Steve Cherundolo’s men visit Nashville SC in MLS on Sunday.
Both were part of the squad that travelled to Tennessee for the clash, as LAFC bid to leapfrog Austin and return to the top of the Western Conference.
Bale, Chiellini sat out victory over Galaxy
Paperwork delays meant that Bale, who joined LAFC as a free agent this month after leaving Real Madrid, was unable to make his Black and Gold bow in last weekend’s derby win over the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The Wales captain, 33, watched on from the stands of Banc of California Stadium as a double by José Cifuentes and a goal by Cristian Arango earned the hosts a 3-2 win over their crosstown rivals.
Former Italy defender Chiellini, a summer signing from Juventus, was among the substitutes for ‘El Tráfico’ eight days ago, but didn’t get on.
“We’ll have to see”: LAFC boss on Bale, Chiellini debut chances
Speaking to reporters ahead of Sunday’s matchday-21 clash at GEODIS Park, Cherundolo was cagey about Bale and Chiellini’s potential involvement against Nashville.
“Anybody who travels is ready to get minutes,” he said. “So, how probable it is? We’ll have to see. The game will dictate that, as well as the coaches. But both are in a good spot to contribute to the group.”
