Nico Paz set for Real Madrid return once presidential election concludes
Real Madrid will recover a player who has developed in Italy at a bargain price - and investment of below $11 million.

Real Madrid has already mapped out the future of Nico Paz: barring any last‑minute twist, the young midfielder will rejoin the first team for the 2026–27 season.
His return will be made official once the club’s presidential election — scheduled for Sunday, June 7 — is completed and the new president is formally in place through 2030.

A buy‑back clause under full control
The club’s option to re‑purchase Paz remains valid until June 30, and sources inside Real Madrid insist everything is “fully under control.” All transfer‑related moves are on hold until the electoral process ends, but the plan for Paz is unanimous inside the institution — regardless of who wins the presidency.
Paz has been receiving consistent messages from Real Madrid leadership for weeks. He knows the club wants him back, and although leaving Como brings a touch of nostalgia, he’s ready for the challenge of returning as a full first‑team player.
Como 1907 midfielder Nico Paz has been named the Serie A Enilive 2025/26 MVP – Best Midfielder. The award was presented during the pre-match ceremony ahead of Cremonese-Como 1907.

Como wants more talent from Valdebebas
Como, meanwhile, has made its intentions clear: they want to keep fishing in Valdebebas. Players like Yáñez and Fortea are high on Cesc Fàbregas’ list. Throughout the season, Como’s staff made several scouting trips to Madrid to track the progress of the club’s young talents.
Paz’s return is one of the few decisions that generates total consensus inside Real Madrid. Under Fàbregas, he grew into a leader — a difference‑maker with personality, responsibility, and maturity. Two years after leaving, Madrid is bringing back a fully formed player for under $11 million, even though several clubs were willing to pay five times that amount.
Madrid’s front office secured his buy‑back clause when he left in the summer of 2024, and now they’re reaping the reward.
