NWSL players have shown their support for Spain international Jenni Hermoso amid the ongoing controversy with Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales.

There has been an outpouring of support for Hermoso from across the globe as well as the Spanish national team in recent days, with Spain’s World Cup celebrations being left aside after Rubiales’ shocking behaviour during the World Cup final ceremony in Sydney on Sunday and during his speech on Friday.

“Contigo Jenni”

Players from Orlando Pride and San Diego Wave wrote “Contigo Jenni” (”With you Jenni”) on their wrists to show their support for the 33-year-old Pachuca player.

What should have been a joyous week for Spanish soccer has been sadly undermined by the behavior of the man who is in charge of the Spanish Football Federation, and the man who is refusing to step down from his role, despite mounting pressure to walk away.
