Germany’s possible starting lineup for the friendly match against USMNT
Julian Nagelsmann will name his first Germany XI since replacing Hansi Flick as head coach of the national team.
Germany face the USMNT at the Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday.
Head coach Julian Nagelsmann has named his first Germany squad since replacing Hansi Flick as head coach of the national team as the 36-year-old bids to change things around after a run of disappointing results.
Germany take on USMNT in friendly
Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz could get the nod to start ahead of veteran forward Thomas Müller on Saturday. The latter netted in Germany’s last game, a 2-1 win against France, after the dismissal of Flick, but may start this one on the bench.
Defender Matt Hummels was a surprise inclusion for many in Nagelsmann’s squad as his last outing for his country was against England at Euro 2020.
Robert Andrich, Kevin Behrens and Chris Führich have all been called up for the first time and could also feature against the US.
