Premier League clubs interested in Canada international Jonathan David

David is attracting interest from several European clubs.

Canada international Jonathan David could leave Lille this summer, report L’Équipe. The 23-year-old is attracting interest from Chelsea and Tottenham as well as fellow French side Paris Saint-Germain.

The forward, who featured in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has scored 21 times in Ligue 1 this season.

Mbappé top scorer

Kylian Mbappé is the top scorer in the French flight this season, with just one more goal than David’s tally. The PSG forward has scored 22 times in 28 top-flight games in 2022-23. David has 21 in 31 games for Les Dogues and has a contract at the club until 2025.

Premier League interest

Premier League clubs Chelsea and Spurs, who are currently working with interim bosses Frank Lampard and Ryan Mason, are not the only sides keen on David.

Manchester United among suitors

Manchester United and German giants Bayern Munich are also monitoring the former Gent man, who already has 40 senior international caps and 24 goals with Canada. He also represented the country at U17 and U23 level.

His current market value on Transfermarkt is €60m.
