Earlier doubts surrounding Sergio Ramos continuing at Parc des Princes with PSG have been resolved after the French side announced via their social media channels that the Spanish defender will not renew his deal and as of 30 June will no longer be a PSG player.

Suspicions came to light following the graphic accompanying the news that the Ligue 1 champions will head to Japan in late July as part of their pre-season activity. The Parisians will play three games, on July 25 and 28 against Saudi Pro League’s Al-Nassr and J-League side Cerezo Osaka respectively in Osaka before winding up the tour with a game against Inter Milan on 1 August in Tokyo.

Neymar and Mbappé appear on the poster to confirm the Asian tour, but not Messi or Sergio Ramos. The Argentine is widely reported to not renew with PSG and this Saturday’s match against Clermont Foot will be his last game in a Paris Saint-Germain shirt, as confirmed by head coach Galtier at a press conference. Mystery initially surrounded the absence of the Camas born defender with the later post clearing up any doubts about Ramos’ future in Paris.

Ramos stated: “Wearing the Red and Blue shirt for the last two years has been a wonderful experience,” said Sergio Ramos. “I’ve had an unforgettable adventure in Paris and I’d like to thank you all for your support and love. Allez Paris! "

In his time with PSG the Spaniard added two Ligue 1 titles and a Trophée des Champions to his extensive list of honours secured with Real Madrid and the Spanish national team.
