PSG star Kylian Mbappé a huge fan of Manchester City target Jérémy Doku
Pep Guardiola’s side have reached an agreement with Rennes for the transfer of the Belgian winger, who Real Madrid target Mbappé has previously praised.

Jérémy Doku’s move to Champions League winners Manchester City from French side Rennes is expected to be made official in the coming hours after the two clubs agreed a reported fee of €65 million ($71 million) for the Belgian international. The winger’s lighting pace and ability to go past defenders will add a different dimension to Pep Guardiola’s attack, which had been somewhat weakened by the departures of Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gündogan. Kylian Mbappé most definitely approves.
What did France captain Mbappé say about Doku?
Capped 14 times by his country, Doku was handed his international debut by former Belgium boss Roberto Martínez at the age of 18 in September 2020. And the ex-Anderlecht youngster has made a big impact in the early stages of his career, with none other than the Paris Saint-Germain superstar revealed to be a huge fan.

Mbappé has never seen someone like Doku
“I recently spoke with my father about a player who caught my attention from the stands because of his pace - Doku, of Rennes. In my five years as a professional, I have never seen someone with such explosiveness over the first few yards”, said the Real Madrid target.
Unsurpirsingly, the 21-year-old was rather pleased to hear such kind words coming from someone of Mbappé's status: “It’s an honour for the best player in the world to say these things about me”, Doku said in a later interview. Just when you thought the Premier League holders already had enough of a goal threat, Guardiola adds another string to Manchester City’s attacking bow.
