PSG will not sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United
The midfielder was a target for former PSG sporting director Leonardo, but the arrival of Luis Campos has put an end to the move.
Paul Pogba will not play for PSG next season. According to L’Équipe, the Manchester United midfielder is not part of new sporting director Luis Campos’ plans.
Although he was a target for former PSG sporting director Leonardo, the arrival of the experienced Campos has put an end to a possible move to the Ligue 1 champions.
PSG target
Pogba had been a target for PSG ever since his spell at United began to peter out. Last summer there was direct contact between the France international and the club, but Leonardo decided to wait until June due to his contractual situation.
His contract at United expires in a month and it is very unlikely that he will sign a new deal under Erik Ten Hag.
In the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, Pogba played 20 times, scoring one goal and providing nine assists.
Luis Campos’ priority was to sign Aurélien Tchouaméni to strengthen PSG’s midfield. The Monaco midfielder has decided to join Real Madrid and, according to RMC Sport, the official his move could be completed over the coming days.
Luis Campos is currently working on other midfield options ahead of the new season.
