Pumas and Necaxa provided us with a forgettable first half in the Sky Cup on Tuesday evening. The return of Andrés Lillini to the Olympic University was overshadowed by a game without emotion and a few fans.

The first half stood out due to the number of backward passes and the apparent fear of not making mistakes on the pitch. Jorge Ruvalcaba was one of those who tried to change the script but without much success.

Rafael Puente del Río sent Eduardo Salvio and Higor Meritao on to try and give more shape.

Not even with the starting players were the Pumas able to decipher Andrés Lillini’s plan and had to settle for their second draw in the pre-season tournament. With this, Pumas still don’t know what it’s like to win in the Sky Cup and they are very close to missing out on the final.
