Pumas have a debt to repay

Although they have avoided defeat in their first three games of the Clausura 2026, Efraín Juárez’s men owe their fans a home win.

Update:

Pumas have opened the Clausura 2026 in solid - if unspectacular - fashion. They remain unbeaten, but with two draws and just one win, Los Universitarios sit sixth in the overall standings with five points.

And while the Pumas faithful are somewhat satisfied with the recent results, Efraín Juárez’s squad still owes its supporters a convincing performance at home.

When did Pumas last win on home turf?

Los Auriazules haven’t won at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario since last November, when they rolled past Tijuana in a 4-1 victory.

Since then, the seven‑time Liga MX champions have recorded two home draws, coming against Querétaro and Club León. This weekend, though, they have a chance to finally reward their fans with another home win.

Pumas’ matchup against Santos Laguna is scheduled for this Friday, Jan. 30, at 9:00 p.m. local time (10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT).
