After quite some time, two Mexican players will play in the Premier League. Raúl Jiménez and Edson Álvarez are playing for Fulham and West Ham respectively in England’s top tier.
Jiménez is in his sixth season in England having moved to Wolves from Benfica, while Álvarez will have his first experience of Premier League football after a successful four-year stint at Ajax.

Jiménez and Álvarez both came through at América, but only shared a dressing room with the Mexican national team, and their respective arrivals at West Ham and Fulham will allow them to face each other for the first time as rivals on the pitch.
They will be part of the London derbies since the Cottagers are located in the west of the city, while the Hammers reside in the east; although their rivalry does not have a specific name.

The calendar for the 2023-24 Premier League season was made in June 2023, but because the two teams will also play in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, their two fixtures, especially the second one, could change.
