Real Madrid duo Arda Güler and Éder Militão will miss the remainder of the season due to hamstring muscle injuries affecting the biceps femoris.

The Turkish midfielder was the latest setback for Arbeloa in the final training session ahead of Friday’s match against Real Betis (21:00). Muscle discomfort kept the young playmaker out of group training, as he worked individually in the gym instead. After further medical tests, the club confirmed the diagnosis: a muscular injury to the biceps femoris in his right leg.

Militão also ruled out after scan

Like Güler, Militão also underwent imaging tests that confirmed a similar muscle injury in the biceps femoris, this time in his left leg. He is also expected to miss the rest of the season with Real Madrid.

In his case, the injury occurred during the match against Alavés, when he felt a sharp pain just before halftime and immediately requested to be substituted. Early assessments from Arbeloa had been cautiously optimistic, but the final diagnosis told a different story.

Asencio returns for Betis

There is some positive news for Arbeloa, with Raúl Asencio showing clear signs of recovery from a severe gastrointestinal issue. He completed part of Wednesday’s training with the group and made further progress this Friday, taking part in nearly the full session.

He is expected to be included in the squad for the clash against Betis, with Arbeloa set to announce his official list at 12:00 on Friday. However, he is likely to start the match on the bench.
