Real Madrid summer transfer window 2024: signings, departures, ins, outs…

With the arrivals of Kylian Mbappé and Endrick, the LaLiga giants have added firepower in attack, but have lost multiple Champions League winners.

Real Madrid could hardly have dreamed of a better 2023/24 season, becoming European champions for the 15th time in their history by lifting the Champions League, shortly after winning the LaLiga title by 10 points from Barcelona. Ahead of the new season, they have, in theory, added significantly more firepower in the shape of Kylian Mbappé and Endrick in the summer 2024 transfer window.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have, however, also lost a couple of important figures. Midfielder schemer Toni Kroos retired from professional soccer after Germany were eliminated from Euro 2024, while club captain Nacho, another six-time Champions League winner, has also moved on to the Saudi Pro League.

Head coach Ancelotti appears to be happy with his lot, despite rumours suggesting a new central defender may be signed. David Alaba had been due to return from an ACL tear in October, although reports claim he has suffered a setback in his recovery.

For now, Los Blancos’ main objective will be to get the best out of Mbappé, who scored on his competitive debut against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup but has struggled to get into top gear in three LaLiga appearances to date.
