Champions League winners Real Madrid beat Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 in the 2022 UEFA Super Cup at Helsinki Olympic Stadium on Wednesday to claim the trophy for a fifth time, drawing level with AC Milan and Barcelona as the joint most-successful club in the competition’s history.

David Alaba and Karim Benzema provided the goals in what was the first competitive meeting since the 1960 European Cup final at Hampden Park in Glasgow, a game Los Blancos won 7-3.
