Semenyo chooses Manchester City
Despite interest from United, Liverpool and Chelsea, the Ghanaian, who has a €74M release clause, has opted for City. Savinho is on his way out.

Just when it seemed the transfer battle couldn’t get any more crowded, Chelsea jumped in — and that was enough for Manchester City to hit the gas on their chase for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo.

According to Fabrizio Romano, City has been “pushing hard over the last 12 hours to speed up talks.” The Athletic adds that Semenyo’s desire to win major trophies is a key factor in his preference for joining Guardiola’s squad.
A crowded attack — and one possible exit
Semenyo will walk into a locker room stacked with attacking talent: Jérémy Doku, Phil Foden, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, Omar Marmoush, and Oscar Bobb. One player he may not have to compete with is Savinho. The Brazilian, who stayed at City last summer despite interest from Tottenham, could once again be the odd man out if the club needs to make room for Semenyo.
No wonder the entire Premier League “Big Six” were tracking him. Arsenal didn’t join the bidding however, and Semenyo himself ruled out Tottenham last summer. But every other English giant viewed the Ghanaian winger/attacking midfielder as an ideal addition.
