Official: Severe weather forces LA ‘El Trafico’ MLS opener to be postponed

MLS have confirmed the postponement of the Rose Bowl game between LA Galaxy and LAFC because of severe weather in Pasadena with the game set to be rescheduled to a later date.

MLS have been forced to cancel the MLS El Trafico Rose Bowl game between LA Galaxy and LAFC because of severe weather in Pasadena.

After some high profile MLS analysts initially claimed that MLS was set to postpone the game, the league shortly issued a tweet in which they confirmed that safety reasons as a result of the sever weather forced the decision.

The game was set to attract over 75,000 fans with the Los Angeles derby one of the highlight rivalry games in the MLS calendar.

The ongoing bad weather in the region forced both LAFC and the Galaxy to postpone Friday’s media activities.
