Southgate to stay on with England
After spending some time post World Cup to decide his future, the 52-year-old has opted to stay on with the English national team.

Gareth Southgate has decided to remain with the England national team after losing in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar with the decision confirmed by UK based The Telegraph.

Southgate intends to communicate his decision to the English FA ahead of Christmas and the move is something of a u-turn for the 52-year-old who complained of ‘too much negativity’ relating to the position but it would appear that a positive showing in Qatar has changed his mind.

The former player has taken England to a World Cup semi-final, the final of Euro 2022, the 2022 World Cup quarter final and will be on board to oversee the ‘Three Lions’ campaign ahead of Euro 2024 with the qualifying process set to get underway in March 2023.
